FORD FIESTA ST PERFORMANCE MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHY

The Performance Edition takes the top of the range ST-3 with Performance Pack and adds flow-formed 18in alloy wheels which are said to be 7kg lighter, throws on standard orange paint and, most significantly, replaces the standard springs and dampers with a new set of adjustable coilovers that drop the front and rear ride height by 10mm and 15mm respectively, a tool kit is provided to fine tune those adjustments. The big edition for handling is the addition of a Quaife limited-slip differential. The powertrain is left alone; a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol making 197bhp and driving the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, at £26,495, the Performance Edition adds £3120 to a regular ST-3 with Performance Pack.

My write up will be in a future edition of Fast Ford magazine, with only 600 of these being produced it was a real opportunity to capture Sophie's new car on a cold and dull Autumnal morning, I used the University of Kent campus as a backdrop, the School of Arts is a modern backdrop and with the colours of the seasons leaves asa backdrop for the static and panning photos it complimented the metallic orange paintwork.

A variety of interior and exterior photos were required for the Fast Ford driving article, and using Profoto lighting enhanced the bright colour of the Performance ST, without strong lighting the colour can look a little flat compared to its punchy metallic glow.
