CLASSIC MINI CAR MAGAZINE SHOOT

21/04/2021
Conner decided to put a Rover VVC 1.8 engine in the car, 168 bhp that would have initially been fitted in the Rover MG ZR and MGF cars, I remember it well as one of my demos back in the day was a bright yellow MG ZR 160 trophy, back in 2001 it was a great car and with the MG branding gave the hot hatch an edge to it.

The build had to accommodate the large engine and through some tweaking of the bonnet brackets and graft Conner and some knowledgeable friends perfected the final design. The car is painted in Miami Blue which can be found under the cloud palette of Porsches, I thought I recognised the colour when it turned up at the B Road cafe for its photo shoot.

The car will feature in Mini magazine very soon and it will make a great read form this one off creation, forgot to mention it also houses an Apple iPad on the dash as well.
