LOGO DESIGN BRANDING

22/05/2020
Back in April 2005 when I started the business I wasn't too sure what to do about branding, new business, website and although I am a creative sometimes you have to leave some of the design work to a professional. I met Martin jewiss from MPJ design (now The Familiar) at a trade show later in 2005, we chatted and were both interested in cars, Martin had also just moved his design practice from the South of France back to the UK. The French connection played a part in the logo!

After a few meetings I presented Martin with a photo of An Alpine 110 that I had taken at Reims in France, the black number plate and silver lettering for me looked great and my idea was my brand name could then be turned in to a number plate for car shoots. Martin's first design was perfect, the emblem on theft hand side is rays of light and the design has stood the east of time as it has stayed with me from the very beginning and still looks fresh and modern.

I asked Martin just to sum up the design "We narrowed down the inspiration for Jason's logo to a pair of his own passions: classic cars and photography, especially his command of light. So the final logo is a nod to classic black and silver number plates with an extra visual element for attention and interest.

All our branding work is designed to last. After 14 years Jason's logo still stands up well, online and in print. It has served him well and should do for a few more years yet."
