FORD FOCUS ST CAR PHOTOGRAPHY

11/07/2019
The Ford Focus ST demonstrator was in a new colour (as seen on the 19 model year Mustang) Orange Fury, a very shout out there colour which is perfect for a hot hatch pushing nearly 300 bhp. The car has a clever anti-lag system that keeps the turbo spinning to improve throttle response. There are also adaptive dampers, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, standard-fit launch control and a multi-link rear axle, plus a flat-shifter and downshift rev-matching for the shorter-throw six-speed manual gearbox. Special Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres add to the performance tweaks, I haven't driven the car yet as it does not officially go on the road until next week, having owned a number of hot hatchbacks in the past i'm looking forward to driving it. With 280ps, 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and that rev 2.3 litre turbo engine it should carry on Ford's tradition of producing the ultimate in fast and affordable hatchbacks.

The photo shoot took place at the Sheerness docks, a location that is restricted due to being based at the ports. Haynes have a pre delivery inspection area on site so we are able to use if exclusively. The Profoto lighting set up as ever provided the extra punch to the Orange Fury paintwork on an overcast day.
