2017 PHOTOGRAPHY REVIEW

03/01/2018
The great thing about being a photographer is that you never know what your going to be photographing from one day to the next, generally a car will feature in their but the rest of my commercial work has been very diverse. The early part of the year I had been asked to cover a talk at the Photography show at the NEC in Birmingham for lighting company Profoto, a daunting task but one that played a part in my lecturing at Kent University, i'm pleased that this is again going to happen this year as well over the Winter months.

Obviously cars were going to take a huge part up of my time, these included two of my dream cars, a Mustang GT350 and a Porsche 356 Speedster (in the snow!), the Ferrari F40 was also another one to tick off the box, all for auction house RM Sotheby's. My car of the year had to be the new Lexus LC500, a sports car with super car looks and an absolute joy to photograph and drive on two occasions. The courses at Brooklands Museum have proved to be as successful as ever, dates are booking up nicely for 2018 already, more information can be found under the training page. As well as photographing cars I love driving, an opportunity to spend ten days with friends driving down to Tuscany was a real memory to cherish, my ar at the time was a Jaguar XES supercharged V6 which was joined by a friends Porsche 911 Turbo S, driving along part of the Mille Miglia on a quiet Monday morning was a special moment.

On to the commercial work and being able to photograph ZZ Top at the Ramblin' Man Fair in Kent was right up there with my photographic highlights ever, other work included educational work for Colleges, Schools and Universities across the UK, covering assignments in the House of Commons, model portfolios and continuing my support for athletes Millie Knight and Yiannis Christodoulou. You will see more of these two in 2018, Millie especially as she is competing at the 2018 Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang in just over two months time.

Looking forward to the year ahead and have some exciting projects on the horizon, thank you for taking the time to read this and follow me on social media. Happy New Year!
