MINNIS BAY RESTAURANT PHOTOGRAPHY IN KENT

The Minnis Bay Bar & Brasserie was fully booked for its opening night and had a mix of old and young enjoying the atmosphere and great food on offer. The brief for brewery Shepherd Neame who own the brasserie was to capture the mood of the venue, with warm lighting and small details also highlighting the coastal location their was plenty to photograph. The Minnis also has a large venue space on the first floor which is available to hire out, perfect for weddings and other special occasions.
I just used two lenses paired with tow Nikons, the 50mm 1.4 prime lens, ideal for the low light available, and the 14-24mm set on the D810 with a tripod to capture the wide room images and exterior night time photographs. The images had to be sent over first thing Sunday morning so that the website could be updated ready for Monday morning. Mid afternoon the site was up and running with my photographs on display, the images will also be used for press releases and other aspects of the pubs marketing campaigns.
